The easiest way to get to Kaliningrad is by plane through Riga or Moscow, but it is not cheap. A cheaper way would be to arrive at Gdansk and take a direct bus to Kaliningrad (ticket price of approx. 10 euro). We can help each volunteer to arrange their trip, providing information on bus and train connections. Volunteers from some European countries can even enjoy a direct bus to Kaliningrad. Each volunteers will be met at the Kaliningrad rail/bus station or airport personally. Please keep in mind that visa is required. We will arrange the visa for you as part of the cost of Euro €150.

The Kaliningrad region is home to 97% of world’s amber deposits, one can find pieces of amber strolling along the coastline. This small European region of Russia is home to 1 million people, most of whom are regular visitors to Gdansk, Berlin and other EU cities. Many of the population has never been to the Russian mainland as it’s almost twice as far (It’s under 900km to Berlin and over 1200km to Moscow).
